Introduction

The Government of the Republic of Cyprus and the Government of Romania signed a Protocol of Cooperation in the field of Research and Development on the 13th March 2007. The aim of the Protocol is to strengthen and develop the scientific and technological cooperation and enhance the cooperation of organizations from both countries in European networks. The main provision of the Protocol is the announcement of a Joint Research Cooperation Program, which invites researchers from both countries to implement joint research and development projects.
