Rules for Participation
The procedure for participating in a COST Action is described as follows:
(a) In the case that researchers would like to submit a proposal regarding a creation of a new Action, then the group that will be created must be comprised by at least 5 researchers or research bodies from different member states. The proposal is submitted to the Committee of Senior Officials (CSO) for approval, according to the rules and procedures of the Organisation.
(b) For participating in a running Action, a relevant application must be submitted to the Research Promotion Foundation (RPF). The application must be accompanied with an updated CV. As long as the application is approved from the RPF, the Republic of Cyprus states the intention to sign the relevant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), and the applicant is nominated as a delegate member of the Management Committee of the particular Action. After that, the researcher will be informed so as to attend at the next meeting of the Action.
A list of the approved Actions of the COST Programme can be found at www.cost.esf.org.
Applicants from Private or Public Sector, who their research is relevant to the discipline of a particular Action, are eligible to participate.
It is underlined that, every researcher has the right to participate in one COST Action at any given time. Additionally, only two researchers from one member state have the right to participate as delegates in the Management Committee of the particular Action.
