EUREKA Projects
Through a EUREKA project, partners develop new technologies for which they agree the Intellectual Property Rights and build partnerships to penetrate new markets.
Each year hundreds of individual projects are initiated by European companies, an increasing number of which are Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs). These contribute to improved wellbeing, security, environment and employment in Europe and beyond.
A EUREKA project involves partners from at least two EUREKA member states. The project is evaluated and supported by the member-states through the national EUREKA offices. Financing is ensured by national resources either via subsidy by the member-state or other organizations, or via lending or self-financing.
RPF, as the national EUREKA office manages the participation of Cyprus in the activities of the EUREKA Organization and is responsible for the planning of the EUREKA Cyprus Programme, which offers the possibility of financing the participation of Cypriot enterprises and research organisations in the activities of the EUREKA Organisation
A project must obtain the approval of the EUREKA Organisation in order to receive national funding.
