Selection of Technical Experts for the Assessment of EUROSTARS Project Applications

The EUREKA Organization announced a Call for Expression of Interest for Technical Experts for the assessment of Proposals to be submitted under the «EUROSTARS» Programme.

EUROSTARS Project Proposals are submitted electronically to the EUREKA Secretariat. The first stage of the Scientific Evaluation of the proposals is undertaken by two independent Technical Experts, giving scores to nineteen (19). The Assessment includes formulating comments and recommendations on the Proposals, completing one expert assessment form (Expert Report) per application and submitting the Expert Report(s) to the EUREKA Secretariat by using the EUROSTARS Expert web platform. The second stage of the evaluation procedure is performed by the Independent Evaluation Panel (IEP). The IEP, which consists of eight members, scores each project proposal on the evaluation criteria and uses the final ratings to draw up the final Ranking List.

The Proposals fall into the following technological categories:

1. Agriculture & Marine Resources.
2. Agrofood Technology.
3. Biological Sciences/Technology.
4. Chemistry, Physical & Exact sciences.
5. Electronics, IT & Telecoms Technology.
6. Energy Technology.
7. Industrial Manufacturing, Material & Transport.
8. Measurements & Standards.
9. Other Industrial Technologies.
10. Technology for Protecting Human Kind & Environment.

Potential Experts must:

1. Hold a higher education diploma (degree or masters level),
2. Possess a minimum ten years´ professional experience in their chosen area/s (PhD research can be included),
3. Be proficient in the English language, and
4. Come from a European Union Member State or a EUREKA Member Country

Interested candidates may apply to the EUREKA Secretariat (experts@eurostars-eureka.eu) at any time during the implementation of the EUROSTARS Programme, until 2013. Interested candidates should submit the following documentation:

The Experts are entitled to a financial compensation of €500 per Expert Report
