Introduction
The Research Promotion Foundation has recognized the multidimensional importance of integrating Cypriot researchers in international research and innovation activities and has developed important initiatives and activities to this direction. Most of them are related with the promotion of the participation of Cypriot researchers in European research programs, as well as the establishment of relations with international organisations, which support research activities. From these activities of RPF the most basic are:
- The promotion of the Cyprus participation in the E.U. Framework Programmes for research and technological development
- The enhancement of the participation of Cypriot researchers in the COST Program (European Cooperation in the Field of Scientific and Technical Research),
- The configuration of concrete measures for the entanglement of Cypriot research institutions and enterprises in the EUREKA Programme (Programme of Industrial Research),
- The promotion of collaboration of Cypriot researchers with researchers from Europe and the New Independent States of former Soviet Union, via the INTAS organisation (International Association for the Promotion of Cooperation with Scientists from the New Independent States of the Former Soviet Union),
- The promotion of the participation of Cypriot researchers in the activities of Joint Research Centre ( JRC) of the European Union.
- The promotion of the participation of Cyprus in the EURAXESS Services Network
The Scientific Officers of the RPF are at the disposal of any interested person for further information regarng the programmes and activities that the RPF manages.
