Plan<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>Since 2018, RIF has prepared and adopted an internal policy document entitled<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.research.org.cy\/wp-content\/uploads\/SxedioIsotitasFilwn2018_20.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;RIF Gender Equality Plan 2018-2020&#8221;<\/a><\/strong><u>,<\/u> aimed at tackling gender inequalities and imbalances in Research and Innovation.<\/p>\n<p>The Plan was prepared in the framework of the participation of the organisation in the European funded Project TARGET &#8211; Taking a Reflexive Approach to Gender Equality for Institutional Transformation worked in support of the preparation of the policy document.<\/p>\n<p>The Gender Equality Plan is addressing gender inequality in Research and Innovation in three dimensions as follows:<\/p>\n<p>(a) Human Resource management.<\/p>\n<p>(b) Decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>(c) Research content.<\/p>\n<p>The Plan also includes a number of specific measures and actions, most of which are already in place.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><!-- close content main div gender equality in R&amp;I by supporting a reflexive gender equality policy in seven Gender Equality Innovating Institutions in the Mediterranean area from countries that have been characterized as relatively inactive in developing gender equality policies in the field of R&amp;I.<\/p>\n<p>The consortium comprises of 10 Partner Institutions &#8211; including three research performing organizations; three research funding organizations; one network of universities and three supporting partners.<\/p>\n<p>TARGET aims to build institutional capacity among Partners by supporting the development of competences in order to conduct a gender audit as well as design, implement, monitor and self-assess a tailored-made Gender Equality Plan.<\/p>\n<p>The Project has received funding from priority in the European Research Area (ERA) by setting up a network of national representatives from EU Member States (MS) and Associated Countries (AC).<\/p>\n<p>The objective is to facilitate networking and exchange among more and less experienced countries to develop knowledge and build capacities, competences and know-how for gender equality and mainstreaming in R&amp;I among European and national stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>Specific goals of the Project are to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Foster exchange in MS and AC in relation to building the ERA and implementing national ERA roadmaps through benchmarking the implementation of ERA priority 4,<\/li>\n<li>Build competences to implement gender equality policies and actions through mutual learning workshops and trainings for national representatives and relevant stakeholders such as Horizon 2020 NCPs, RFOs and RPOs,<\/li>\n<li>Advance gender equality and gender mainstreaming in R&amp;I in Europe by providing strategic policy
