{"id":12453,"date":"2021-09-03T11:32:02","date_gmt":"2021-09-03T08:32:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.research.org.cy\/?p=12453"},"modified":"2022-07-15T11:15:19","modified_gmt":"2022-07-15T08:15:19","slug":"s-factor-2021-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.research.org.cy\/en\/s-factor-2021-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00abS \u2013 FACTOR 2021\u00bb COMPETITION"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.research.org.cy\/wp-content\/uploads\/1-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12447 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.research.org.cy\/wp-content\/uploads\/1-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1100\" height=\"275\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Research and Innovation Foundation, the Cypriot Mathematical Society and the Thales Foundation are organizing, for the tenth consecutive year, the \u201cS-Factor\u201d Students\u2019 Competition. \u03a4his Competition, which will take place on the <strong>23rd<\/strong> and <strong>24th<\/strong> of <strong>September <\/strong>2021 at Strovolos Municipality Theatre, is part of the <strong>European Researchers\u2019 Night 2021<\/strong> Event. All Covid-19 measures will be respected in accordance with the guidelines and decrees issued by the Ministry of Health at that time.<\/p>\n<p>S-Factor aims to challenge talented high-school students to present a scientific phenomenon in an original and entertaining way in front of the audience, <strong>in just three minutes<\/strong>. Presentations are expected to showcase and reward student talents.<\/p>\n<p>The first three winners in each category (Gymnasiums and Lyceums) will win gift vouchers from a technology store. In addition to this, the winner of the 1st Prize in each category will be offered a free registration to the European Student Conference EUROMATH &amp; EUROSCIENCE 2022 which will take place in Thessaloniki between the 11th and the 16<sup>th<\/sup> March 2022, with direct approval to participate in the final of SCIENCEFactor Europe 2022.<\/p>\n<p>For further information, please contact the Research and Innovation Foundation (tel: 22 205000).
