The main objective of the Programme is to increase the interaction between students\/teachers and researchers as well as to promote the significance of research, innovation, and science, presenting at the same time scientific and research careers as an attractive career option for the future.<\/p>\n<p>The thematic focus of presentations by researchers to be delivered during the aforementioned visits should be relevant to the European Missions as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Cancer<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Adaptation to Climate Change including Societal Transformation<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Healthy Oceans, Seas, Coastal, and Inland Waters<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Climate-neutral and Smart Cities<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Soil<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>Health<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>and<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>Food<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>EU Missions are bold actions with ambitious yet achievable goals that aim to address some of the greatest societal challenges. More information about the Missions can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/r\/VXmDuPtvxR\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The visits will take place during the school year 2022-2023 and specifically during the specified weeks in accordance with the following World days:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>World Cancer Day \u2013 February 4th 2023<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(<em>February 6<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 10<sup>th<\/sup> 2023<\/em>)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>World Earth Day \u2013 April 22nd 2023<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(April 17<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 21<sup>st<\/sup> 2023)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>World Oceans Day \u2013 June 8th 2023<\/li>\n<li>(<em>June 5<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 9<sup>th<\/sup> 2023<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>World Cities Day \u2013 October 31st 2022<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(<em>October 31<sup>st<\/sup> \u2013 November 4<sup>th<\/sup> 2022<\/em>)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>World Food Day \u2013 October 16th 2022<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(<em>17<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 21<sup>st<\/sup> 2022<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Researchers interested in participating in the Programme are kindly requested to state their interest and availability <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/pages\/designpagev2.aspx?lang=en-GB&amp;origin=OfficeDotCom&amp;route=Start&amp;subpage=design&amp;id=3vOIktIVqEW-yZRz-0p-CTScNFy6XsxChbSp0Thbt4tUOUpFQlZVOThLQzdPUFUzVVE3UDZWNTFMOS4u\">here<\/a> by July 10<sup>th<\/sup>, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Programme is implemented in the framework of the EU-funded Project CONNECT (Cyprus ON a mission to Engage, inspire and Connect with citizens through the European Researcher\u2019s Night), Grant Agreement No. 101060913, which has received funding by the EU\u2019s Horizon Europe Programme for Research and Innovation.
