{"id":26658,"date":"2025-09-20T11:06:57","date_gmt":"2025-09-20T08:06:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.research.org.cy\/?p=26658"},"modified":"2025-09-20T12:56:46","modified_gmt":"2025-09-20T09:56:46","slug":"call-for-proposals-for-the-excellence-hubs-program-excellence-0925","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.research.org.cy\/en\/call-for-proposals-for-the-excellence-hubs-program-excellence-0925\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Proposals for the \u201cExcellence Hubs\u201d Program (EXCELLENCE\/0925)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) informs interested entities about the opportunity to submit proposals under the <em>Call for Proposals<\/em> for the \u201cExcellence Hubs\u201d Program (EXCELLENCE\/0925).<\/p>\n<p>The <em>\u201cExcellence Hubs\u201d<\/em> Program aims to promote scientific excellence, which is a fundamental foundation for the sustainable development of the Research, Technological Development, and Innovation (RTDI) system, through the funding of pioneering research projects in cutting-edge fields. Additionally, the Program is expected to contribute to creating development prospects for the local economy and addressing contemporary social and other challenges.<\/p>\n<p>The projects may have an interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral character and should fall under one of the following Scientific Areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Life Sciences<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Physical Sciences and Engineering<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Social and Human Sciences<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The total budget for the national call is \u20ac3,000,000, distributed as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u20ac1,200,000 for the <em>Life Sciences<\/em> Scientific Area<\/li>\n<li>\u20ac1,200,000 for the <em>Physical Sciences and Engineering<\/em> Scientific Area<\/li>\n<li>\u20ac600,000 for the <em>Social and Human Sciences<\/em> Scientific Area<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The submission deadline for proposals through the <a href=\"https:\/\/iris.research.org.cy\/#!\/\">IRIS portal<\/a> of the RIF is <strong>November 26, 2025<\/strong>, at 13:00.<\/p>\n<p>Proposals for the <em>\u201cExcellence Hubs\u201d<\/em> Program can be submitted via the <a href=\"https:\/\/iris.research.org.cy\/\">IRIS Portal<\/a> of the RIF.
