The Programme aims to support and further develop innovative Cypriot enterprises through a blended financing mechanism that combines public funding with private investment.<\/p>\n<p>The Programme seeks to act as a <strong>catalyst for attracting private investment<\/strong> by combining public funding from RIF with private capital, thereby strengthening enterprises\u2019 ability to progress to the next stage of their development and capitalise on opportunities for commercial growth and expansion.<\/p>\n<p>This pre-announcement aims to give interested enterprises the opportunity to begin their preparations in good time, make arrangements to obtain the necessary certificates, and initiate the required contacts and negotiations with potential investors.<\/p>\n<p>The total budget of the new Call is expected to amount to <strong>\u20ac1,200,000<\/strong>, with maximum funding of \u20ac300,000 per project.<\/p>\n<p>Public funding is expected to cover up to 50% of the private equity investment, subject to a maximum funding amount of \u20ac300,000 per enterprise.<\/p>\n<p>Enterprises interested in submitting a proposal will be required to meet, among other things, the following conditions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Innovative Enterprise Certificate:<\/strong> Hold a valid Innovative Enterprise Certificate in accordance with the applicable framework.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Binding Private Investment Agreement:<\/strong> Have secured a signed, binding agreement with a private investor for an equity investment in the enterprise of at least \u20ac200,000.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Eligible Period for Signing the Private Investment Agreement:<\/strong> The binding agreement with the private investor must be signed during the period starting on the date of this pre-announcement (23 October 2026) and ending on the Call\u2019s submission deadline.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Payment of Part of the Private Investment:<\/strong> By the time the Project Contract with RIF is signed, the enterprise must have already received at least 30% of the agreed private equity investment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Expected Timeline<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The new Call is expected to be announced in early December 2026, with a proposal submission deadline of <strong>9 April 2027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The evaluation and selection process is expected to be completed by mid-May 2027. Enterprises selected for funding will be required to sign the Project Contract with RIF by <strong>25 June 2027<\/strong>, having already secured and received at least 30% of the agreed private investment.<\/p>\n<p>A second submission deadline will also follow, with corresponding provisions for the allocation of an additional budget of \u20ac1 million.<\/p>\n<p>Interested enterprises are encouraged to begin the necessary procedures well in advance to obtain the Innovative Enterprise Certificate and attract private investment, ensuring that they are in a position to submit a complete proposal within the prescribed deadlines.<\/p>\n<p>Further information will be announced upon publication of the new Call on the RIF website.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) informs interested parties that it is expected to announce a new Call for Proposals under the \u201cBOOST\u201d Programme in early December 2026.
