Announcement of Stage A’ Evaluation Results for SEED/0525 Call of the “Development of Internationally Competitive Innovative Products and Services by STARTUPS” Programme

The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) announces the evaluation results of Stage A’ for proposals submitted for the SEED/0525 Call of the “Development of Internationally Competitive Innovative Products and Services by STARTUPS” Programme, which is part of the RESTART 2016-2020 Programmes for Research, Technological Development and Innovation.

Specifically, the Call was announced on 28 May 2025, with a submission deadline of 12 September 2025. The evaluation results have been announced to the Beneficiaries and are available here.

According to the provisions of the relevant Call, the evaluation of the Proposals followed a process of Preliminary Screening and remote scientific assessment by two (2) experts, specialists in the subject matter of the proposal and with a good understanding of the business environment relevant to it.

According to the provisions of the Call, proposals that receive a score of at least 12.00/15.00 proceed to Stage B’ of the Evaluation. Specifically, the following proceed to Stage B’ of the Evaluation:
(i) the first three (3) proposals with the highest scores (in descending order) led by female Project Coordinators, and
(ii) the remaining proposals with the highest scores (in descending order),
until the total requested funding of the proposals equals twice the available budget of the Call, provided that they have been deemed eligible for funding.

In the Second Stage of Evaluation RIF will follow the evaluation method of the Scientific Evaluation Committee. The Second Stage of Evaluation will take place in early March 2026. The Committee will consist of experts with a business background. Details on the process of conducting the Second Stage of the Evaluation will be sent, in the following days to the Project Coordinators of the proposals that proceed to the Stage B.
