Organisation

Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) is the largest network of support services to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the world, providing information and consulting services to innovate and grow on the international market.

The European Commission launched the Enterprise Europe Network in 2008.It is co-funded by the member organizations and the European Commission through COSME Program for Business Competitiveness of SMEs for the period 2014-2020.

Members

The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) brings together over 600 business support organisations across Europe and beyond with deep knowledge on European and local markets including chambers of commerce and industry, research, innovation and entrepreneurship support, research and technology centers. The Network is active in more than 60 countries worldwide (in Europe, Middle East, Asia and America).

Member organizations of the network employ about 3,000 executives with experience in providing business services while at the same time there are 17 pan-European thematic / expert groups that combine international expertise with knowledge of the local market in a number of key areas for the European economy from health and agriculture to energy and shipping.

Services

Enterprise Europe Network provides its services through consortia of organizations that are active in member countries and offer their services by combining knowledge of the local / national ecosystem and strong communication and cooperation networks at a global level.

In particular, EEN offers information, guidance and counseling services on legislation and policy issues as well as access to available sources of funding and a variety of financing tools, opportunities for business cooperation, innovation support and technology transfer, aiming at the international development of SMEs. It also aims at the transformation of new ideas for innovative products and services at the implementation of research, technological development and innovation activities to expand and strengthen the participation of SMEs and to develop strategies and methods for protecting intellectual property rights.
