MatchMe Programme

The Research and Innovation Foundation announces the MatchMe Programme, through which businesses are given the opportunity to identify suitable research teams, learn about their technological capabilities, and explore collaboration opportunities in areas of mutual interest.

The programme aims to facilitate initial contact between businesses and Research Organisations and is addressed to:

  • Enterprises with technological needs or specific challenges
  • Research Organisations (ROs)

Mechanism

The implementation of the Programme is based on:

  • The use of the RIF Partner Search Tool, through which:
  • ROs can present project ideas, and
  • Enterprises can describe the challenges they face in order to establish collaborations.
  • Matching participants based on thematic areas and technological interests.
  • Organising short, targeted meetings (in-person or online)

How it works in practice

For Research Organisations:

  • With the announcement of the MatchMe Programme, RIF informs the local Knowledge Transfer Offices (KTOs) of ROs and invites them to submit a short, one-page profile including:
    • Fields of activity and research capabilities, and
    • Indicative previous collaborations with enterprises
  • Where specific project ideas exist, research teams may submit them directly through the RIF Partner Search Tool.

For Enterprises:

  • Interested enterpises are invited to briefly record in the Partner Search Tool on the RIF website:
    • The challenges they face, and
    • Their fields of technological interest.

Matching & Activities

RIF continuously evaluates participants’ profiles and needs, carries out targeted matchmaking, and proposes collaboration opportunities based on shared thematic interests.
