Market Survey on the “PhD MINT – Milestone-based Incentives for New PhD Talent” Programme

The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) announces the launch of a market sounding process to gauge interest and gather information regarding the possibility of announcing a new funding programme, “PhD MINT – Milestone-based Incentives for New PhD Talent.”

The proposed Programme aims to strengthen doctoral education and the development of new research talent in Cyprus by providing incentives to eligible research organisations to attract high-quality doctoral candidates, support their successful progression through doctoral studies and increase the number of doctoral graduates produced in Cyprus.

The Programme will provide milestone-based institutional funding, linked to the successful achievement and verification of predefined milestones covering talent attraction, research progress, research excellence and doctoral completion. An additional Industry Engagement Bonus is also envisaged, aiming to encourage greater private-sector participation and co-investment in doctoral training and research.
