Announcement of Call Results INNOVATE/1221 – Stage II Evaluation

The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) announces the results of Stage II of the Evaluation Procedure of proposals submitted under the call for proposals INNOVATE/1221. Both stages of the evaluation process were completed within four (4) months of the call deadline.

Specifically, the Call was announced on the 14th of December 2021 and the deadline for submission of proposals was on the 22nd of February 2022. The Stage II Evaluation Procedure took place between 20 -23 of June 2022. The results of the evaluation of proposals have been announced through the IRIS Portal and are available here.

According to the RESTART 2016-2020 Work Programme, Proposals submitted in this Program are evaluated in two Stages. In the First Evaluation Stage, RIF followed a remote evaluation process by two (2) Independent Evaluators. The best ranked applications according to their Final Evaluation Score, starting with the highest scoring proposal and in descending order requesting an aggregated financial support equal to the double of the available Call budget, and provided that they secure a Final Evaluation Score of at least 12.00/15.00, qualified to the Second Stage of the Evaluation.

In the Second Stage of Evaluation, RIF followed the evaluation method of the Scientific Evaluation Committee. The Committee consisted of experts with a business background.

The final decision on the funding of a proposal by RIF is at the discretion of the Scientific Evaluation Committee and there is no possibility to submit a request for redress.
