Announcement of the EURATOM Work Programme 2023-2025 & European Conference «Euratom Research in Action and Opportunities for Europe» (04 April 2023)

The Research and Innovation Foundation would like to inform interested Organisations and individuals on the announcement of the Work Programme 2023-2025 for the Euratom Research and Training Programme of the European Commission, with a total budget of €132,3 mil. The general objective of the Programme is to pursue nuclear research and training activities, with an emphasis on the continuous improvement of nuclear safety, security and safeguards, radioactive waste management and radiation protection, as well as to complement the achievement of Horizon Europe’s objectives. The Work Programme describes specific research and training actions that the Commission intends to fund in 2023-2025 through calls for proposals (11 topics), as well as through other means than calls for proposals, such as grants to identified beneficiaries, procurement and prizes. The relevant Calls for Proposals are available on EC’s Funding and Tenders Opportunities Portal.

 

In addition to the above, the European Commission organises on the 4th of April 2023 the European Conference «Euratom Research in Action and Opportunities for Europe: EU Strategic Autonomy and the Future Energy Systems». The event will present the main priorities of the Euratom Work Programme 2023-25 managed by DG RTD and will be focused on Small Modular Reactors (SMRs). The conference will take place in Brussels, with additional possibility for online participation, and will feature speeches and panel discussions with the participation of distinguished speakers, such as EC Commissioner for Education, Research and Innovation Ms Mariya Gabriel and the Director General of DG RTD.
