Call for Expressions of Interest to participate in the «Researchers at School» Programme

The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) would like to invite researchers to participate in visits at Primary and Secondary Schools in the framework of the “Researchers at Schools” Programme. The main objective of the Programme is to increase the interaction between students/teachers and researchers as well as to promote the significance of research, innovation, and science, presenting at the same time scientific and research careers as an attractive career option for the future.

The thematic focus of presentations by researchers to be delivered during the aforementioned visits should be relevant to the European Missions as follows:

  • Cancer
  • Adaptation to Climate Change including Societal Transformation
  • Healthy Oceans, Seas, Coastal, and Inland Waters
  • Climate-neutral and Smart Cities
  • Soil Health and Food

EU Missions are bold actions with ambitious yet achievable goals that aim to address some of the greatest societal challenges. More information about the Missions can be found here.

 

The visits will take place during the school year 2022-2023 and specifically during the specified weeks in accordance with the following World days:

 

  • World Cancer Day – February 4th 2023

(February 6th – 10th 2023)

  • World Earth Day – April 22nd 2023

(April 17th – 21st 2023)

  • World Oceans Day – June 8th 2023
  • (June 5th – 9th 2023)
  • World Cities Day – October 31st 2022

(October 31st – November 4th 2022)

  • World Food Day – October 16th 2022

(17th – 21st 2022)
