«Carots Startup School» Initiative for Scientists Interested in Turning Entrepreneurs

EEN Cyprus informs interested parties for the «Carots Startup School» Initiative which is addressed to Researchers interested in turning their skills into a business and fulfil the following Criteria:

 

  • work as researcher at a university or other research institution
  • who has an idea for a new scientific service company (Scientific Service Companies act as innovative problem solvers and facilitate applicable tailor-made solutions to industrial and societal challenges involving industry and academia.)
  • whose idea is based on an advanced analytical technique (advanced analytical techniques are considered methods utilising electrons, photons or neutrons for diffraction, scattering, microscopy and/or spectroscopy in a way which is not available in typical laboratories due to the need of certain research infrastructures like synchrotrons, neutron sources but also high-end electron microscopes or other devices.)
  • who has found that there is a need in industry for this technique and has expertise in it

 

The Programme provides two 1:1 coachings of 60 minutes each and four webinars between March and June 2021. Interested parties should submit an Application by 31 January 2021. Interested parties are kindly advised to contact the organizers in advance for information on available spaces.
