Opportunity for Master’s Students to become Observers in Horizon Europe proposal evaluations

Τhe European Commission recently launched the new Horizon Europe calls Youth 2022 initiative, in the framework of which master’s students will be given the opportunity to witness the evaluation and funding processes of Horizon Europe, the EU’s R&I funding programme for 2021-2027.

 

This new initiative is implemented in the context of the European Year of Youth 2022 and addresses students attending a master’s course in any subject, in any University in the EU. The participants will follow dedicated briefings on the evaluation process, as well as on practical and ethical issues around their participation of entities in Horizon Europe. They will have the opportunity to observe Horizon Europe evaluation and funding processes  and will be supported by mentors throughout the process.

 

Students that participate successfully will receive a ‘Young Observer’ certificate, awarded by the European Commission.

 

The Call was announced on April 1st, 2022 and interested students are strongly encouraged to apply as early as possible to maximise their chances to be selected. The call is continuous and will close on December 14th, 2022.
